Artwork and prints for the pelican avenue AW13 collection. Somewhere set in unknown territory, south of Vegas, the collection envisions ideas of light. Neon, light beams and reflections on metal, gold and silver, shape arches and create an overall enlightened architectural structure.

Pelican Video was invited as an external tutor for the 2013 thesis at the Institute for Fashion Design in Basel. During 4 days we worked with the graduating students on the installations, spaces, sounds, videos and performances of their final presentations. A small selection of the results.

Artwork and prints for the pelican avenue SS13 collection. Domestica challenges the idea of perfect homes and their creators. Sharp pleats are unfolded, precisely refolded like luxurious napkins. A glimpse of artificiality. Utopic drape prints shape tromp l’oeil sculpturing.

A Pelican Video Workshop at the Institute for Fashion Design in Basel focused on experiments with mapping techniques, the use of projectors as light sources and exploring the idea of augmented reality related to fashion. The results can be seen here. Three videos were created during the workshop:

The Absence of Anything is a short film by Daniel Sannwald that tells the story of two young men on a journey outside of time and space in search of eternity. Michiel Helbig was commissioned for the editing & sound design. The music is by Carlos Peron. A short fragment of the video.
