The video and the pieces of the autumn winter 2008 collection ‘what was waw’ are a reworked, reassembled, reconsidered, re-blend, recycled, reissued, remixed, re-released selection of former presented pelican avenue collections and images.

A displacement video transforming the moving parts of an image – namely a person in a pelican avenue outfit (what was wow AW08 collection) – by shifting pixels across time to create an abstract form liquidly changing its shape with every frame. The resulting film is surreal, impressionistic and mesmeric. A first try out was pelican video’s contribution for showstudio’s FUTURETENSE project.
